I’ll preface this post with the fact that I would point this out regardless the type of company who’s advertising. It just so happens that The Climate Corporation is the subject and apparently I’m smack dab in the middle of the target audience so the opportunity to write about it keeps coming up.

Take a look at the ad. It’s for The Climate Corporation’s flagship decision support product focused on agriculture. This ad has been running most of the summer and during that period I can only assume they have had luck with it since it’s still going. These ads result in about a $4.50-$7.50 CPC through FB’s ad service. Not cheap - so either people are clicking and they’re making money or the ad is getting a ton of impressions and no clicks so it’s affordable.

Whoever created this ad did a fabulous job with the graphic and text. The problem? No one is monitoring it and comments are out of control. To have an advertisement with attached derogatory content is marketing suicide. Someone should be in there monitoring this hour by hour. Some comments are weeks old. Amazing.
