Finally, Rain!

I guess the forecast I thought I botched a few days ago turned out to verify! Too bad I already poo poo'ed it in public here on the blog. I was right, then I was wrong, then I was right, then it didn't count... Regardless, it is raining.

I am happy to see some weather other than "warm and windy" around here.
I think others are probably as excited as I am for something less than mundane weather-wise. I can tell when boredom sets in - - my fan club has started a good rally of late and while the absolutely official start of chase season is still 99 days, 4 hours & 42 minutes as of this writing, I'm chomping at the bit to get things done in preparation for the "big day"... Things like figuring out what I really need to take on chases now that I have upgraded some of my equipment. It will be difficult for me to not just throw in an extra camera or radio or whatever just because I have it sitting around. With all the crap Bob and I have between us, taking extra stuff on chases really is not an option.
On a similar note:
Bob had a "theft from vehicle" late last year and the bandits made off with our fancy AC/DC power distribution box (among other things) that took over a day-and-a-half to build due to our obsessive compulsive disorders and the fact that Bob is an absolute perfectionist. There is nothing wrong with perfection, of course, but the sweat equity built into the project was that of grand proportions. See a little of the action by watching Bob get pissed (14mb wmv) at corporate America over supplies for the box we now have to rebuild.

I would love to have seen the look on the thief's face(s) when they saw the black box full of wires that had no apparent function outside of being a perfect specimen of something they know nothing about. I only hope they bothered to open it and see my wonderful solder connections.
