Steve  > Storm Chases > 2008 > 3-30-2008 Cordell, OK
This was a short trip west of OKC to see what goes up. One of those days where there is still a crispness in the air but the moisture can also be felt.
This was a day to shoot structure and that's about it. Wish I had a wide angle lens at the time to fit the whole thing in! Oh well.
After dark, the low level jet showed up and storms began to rotate. We followed one supposed tornadic cell back to the Newcastle, OK area and then it was time to abort the chase due to the fact that variables ahead of the primary cell were stabilizing.

Steve > LCL's in the area of this storm were 1500. This makes for a fairly high-based storm.
